Warwick welcomes medical marijuana facility

Construction of a $10 million, 40,000-square-foot marijuana growing facility is underway in Warwick. The Citiva project on State School Road will provide medical marijuana to the company’s dispensaries in Dutchess County, New York City and upstate. Officials say it will also bring jobs and tax revenue to the neighborhood. “They’ll become the anchor to launch the rest of the tech park,” says Warwick Supervisor Mike Sweeton. “I can’t tell you how excited I am for the future here.” Growing will begin next year with plants ready for distribution by fall.
