Doctors in Ohio are preparing for when the medical marijuana program does begin in the state (WSYX/WTTE) COLUMBUS, Ohio — It’s full steam ahead for Ohio doctors wanting to recommend medical marijuana when the state program finally comes online. Even though the mandated September 8th deadline will not be met, doctors still have to get certified to recommend. The requirement for doctors is at least two hours of continuing medical education. ABC 6 On Your Side surveyed doctors in Ohio and the results show there’s interest from their patients about medical cannabis. Tonya Sanders met with us to tell her own personal story about medical marijuana that she says changed her life.
