Bethlehem Township police charged two people with running a “very elaborate clandestine” marijuana-growing operation in the basement of an Applewood Drive home where officers confiscated more than 280 pounds of the drug during a raid. Police say the homeowner, Kenny Tan Nguyen, and his girlfriend, Phuong Thi My Le, both remain at large. Nguyen, 48, and My Le, 35, were not home at the time of Tuesday’s raid, authorities say. Both face charges of possession with intent to delivery, criminal conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. Nguyen also faces an additional receiving stolen property charge for a stolen handgun police say they found in his closet. The Bethlehem Township police narcotics unit searched a township home Tuesday and found a large number of marijuana plants, police said.
