Cannabis worth £250k found in city centre raid


The large quantity of cannabis resin was found in a property in Mansel Street, Swansea Police have found a quarter-of-a-million pounds worth of cannabis resin in a raid in Swansea. The discovery was made after officers swooped on a property in Mansel Street in the city centre. Around 110lbs of the drug was seized at the address, and a man has been arrested and charged in connection with the find. Police say the resin would have had a value of around £250,000 if it had made its way onto the streets of the city. The raid came on the same day as police uncovered a cannabis farm in a house in Brynmill in an unconnected raid. Police said tackling drug dealing in the city remains a priority for the force.
